Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Connecticut wrapped up another successful Bowl for Kids’ Sake earlier this month, raising over $50,000 for our mentoring programs. Event sponsors included The Elizabeth and Joseph Massoud Foundation, BDO, Compass Group Management, and Squire Patton Boggs. Additional sponsors were Advanced Circuits, The Milana Family, Anholt, The Chiodo Family, F1 Group, Morrison Cohen, Savers and Robert Slavin.
The event took place at Nutmeg Bowl in Fairfield with attendees showing off their skills and having a great time while supporting the work that we do. Although there were some exceptional bowlers, the real winners are the kids we serve across the area.
“Bowl for Kids’ Sake brings the whole community together in support of a positive future for our kids,” said Ellen Tracy, Executive Director of BBBSSWCT. “Every dollar raised through Bowl for Kids’ Sake directly funds mentoring relationships in our area; increasing kids’ chances for success.”
Associates from four local Kohl’s stores generously distributed books and toys for the kids. Other highlights included an appearance by the Chuck E. Cheese mascot, a raffle with lots of prizes and music provided by DJ Mitchell Siriano.
A sincere thank you to everyone who sponsored, attended or donated raffle prizes. Plans are already underway for next year!
